A conductor protection and stabilisation system engineered to prevent fretting, corrosion and impact damage. Extending the service life of conductor casings with a fully composite, non-metallic solution.
Conductor guides in offshore environments are exposed to a combination of damaging forces that accelerate degradation and compromise structural integrity.
Conductor guides exposed to seawater and oxygen suffer accelerated corrosion leading to rapid structural degradation and eventual failure.
FlexiGuide creates a flexible high-performance synthetic polymer layer between the conductor and conductor guide. By bonding to both surfaces, FlexiGuide protects against corrosion caused by seawater and oxygen exposure.
It prevents fretting and impact damage by allowing safe and controlled vertical and horizontal conductor movements.
Surface is prepared using high-pressure waterjet blasting on site.
A bottom end cap is installed beneath the conductor guide to contain the FlexiGuide compound.
A composite wear panel is bonded to the conductor, followed by a loosely installed sliding panel.
Polyurethane compound is mixed and applied on site to centralise, protect and dampen the conductor.
After curing, a top cap may be installed as an additional protective layer.
See exactly how FlexiGuide is installed and how it protects conductor guides from corrosion, fretting and impact damage. Each step of the process is shown in detail — from surface preparation through to compound application and final capping.
